Synopsis
When Sam heads back to her sleepy, Scottish hometown for a job interview - she bumps into an old friend who's never been able to leave. Why hasn't Peter left? What does he need to say to her? Something sinister is watching them both.
The Telling is a throwback to subtle, slow-build supernatural dramas of the 80s/90s and is inspired by classic British TV like Children of The Stones, Chocky, The Stone Tape, Day of the Triffids and the BBC's Ghost Stories for Christmas series.
Stewart Hamilton has been composing electronic music for many years and scoring feature films. This is his second short film as writer director. It was filmed entirely on location in Lauder, Scottish Borders - with an amazing cast led by Clare Ross and Andy Noble.
