REECE CARGAN
BOMBITO
is a Scottish film production company set up by producer Reece Cargan in 2017.
Following successes with commissioned short films and documentaries, Bombito has multiple fiction and documentary features in funded development and are actively developing their TV slate.
In 2022, Bombito won an Royal Television Society award and Reece was selected by Screen International as a 'Rising Star Scotland'
That same year, Bombito was the only UK production company invited to attend the EAVE Producers lab with project 'A Good Spell'.

Bombito strives to tell LGBTQ stories with real characters and has an interest in stories that feature them, as well as stories that are written, or directed, by people from the queer community.
We are also interested in contemporary stories that reflect society today - a good story is a good story!
VAISHNAVI RAMU
TEAM
Vaishnavi Ramu (Vai) is a Development and Production Assistant at Bombito Productions.
An MA Screenwriting graduate hailing from the Scottish Borders, Vai is passionate about telling diverse stories that represent Scotland today.
In 2022, Vai was selected for the ‘Ghoul Friends’ writers’ room, before finishing her degree and travelling around India for six months. She is also part of the creative collective Hadrian Creatives, who were selected to show their exhibition ‘Belonging’ at the Alchemy Film & Moving Image Festival in April 2023.
As a writer, Vai's work has been featured in publications such as Scotland Magazine and the Scottish BPOC Writers Network blog.
One day, Vai hopes to be writing her own television shows and to help people from marginalised backgrounds to break into Film & TV Production.
In her spare time, Vai likes to obsess over coming-of-age television shows while drinking copious amounts of hot chocolate.
